Engr. Muhammad Atiq ur Rehman

Engr Muhammad Atiq ur Rehman did his bachelor’s degree in electronic engineering from Dawood College of Engineering and Technology, Karachi, Pakistan in 2007. A special degree (MBA) in business administration from Institute of Business Administration, Karachi, Pakistan in 2012 and MS degree in electronics engineering from International Islamic University, Islamabad, Pakistan in 2017. Currently, he is a PhD scholar in electrical and computer engineering department with International Islamic University, Islamabad, Pakistan with specialization in Power and Control systems. He was also the visiting faculty member in the department of electronics technology in Iqra College of Technology and Skills, IIUI, Pakistan and in the faculty of management sciences, IIUI, Pakistan. He has membership as a Professional Engineer with Pakistan Engineering Council, Islamabad, Pakistan. His current research interests are control and optimization of operations of smart-grids, micro-grids, nano-grids, and renewable energy resources by using machine learning and data science techniques.

Dr. Kiran Sultan

Dr. Kiran Sultan did her Ph.D Electrical Engineering with specialization in Digital Communication Systems from Department of Electrical Engineering, Air University, Islamabad, Pakistan in 2013. She did her MS and BS in Electrical Engineering from University of Engineering and Technology, Taxila, Pakistan in 2008 and 2003 respectively. Her main areas of research are Digital Communication, Signal Processing, Cognitive Radio Networks, Optimization Techniques and Soft Computing. She has fourteen years of teaching experience and is currently associated with Department of CIT, King Abdulaziz University, Jeddah, Saudi Arabia.

Dr. Ayesha Salman

Ayesha Salman received the B.S. in Computer Engineering (with high distinction) and M.S. in Telecom Engineering from UET Taxila, Pakistan, in 2005 and 2009 respectively. She is a Ph.D. scholar in Electrical Engineering from Air University. She is currently an Assistant Professor at the Department of Electrical Engineering, Air University, Islamabad, Pakistan since 2016. Her research interests focus on Cognitive radio networks, cognitive femtocell networks, Digital Signal Processing and Compressed Sensing. She has 8 publications.

Dr. Sarah Saeed

Sarah Saeed received her B.S and M.S. Degree in Electrical Engineering (with high distinction) from UET Peshawar in 2002 and 2005 respectively. She completed her Ph.D. in Electrical Engineering from Air University in 2016. She is currently an Assistant Professor at the Department of Electrical Engineering, Air University, Islamabad, Pakistan. Her research interests focus on antenna systems, array signal processing, radar and Microwave Engineering.She has 10 publications.

Dr. Bilal Shoaib Khan

Dr. Bilal Shoaib Khan did his MS and PhD from Department of Electrical Engineering, International Islamic University, Islamabad, in 2010 and 2017 respectively. His main areas of research are Nonlinear signal processing algorithms. He has more than 20 publications. Dr. Abdul Haseeb Ahmed

Dr. Abdul HaseebAhmed did his MS from Department of Electrical Engineering, University of Michigan, Michigan, USA in 2010. He did his PhD from Air University, Pakistan in 2017. His main areas of research are signal and image processing, medical image reconstruction and registration. He has a teaching and research experience with five international publications. He is presently with Department of Electrical Engineering, Air University, Islamabad.

Engr. Muhammad Muzammil

Muhammad Muzammil did his MS Electrical Engineering from UET, Taxila, Pakistan in 2014. He is perusing his PhD Electronic Engineering from International Islamic University, Islamabad, Pakistan. Areas of his research interests include: digital image and video processing, computer vision, image fusion and digital system designs. Currently he is with Department of Electrical Engineering, International Islamic University, Islamabad, Pakistan.

Dr. Jawad Ali Shah

Dr. Jawad Ali Shah did his BS Electrical Engineering & MS Telecom Engineering from U.E.T Peshawar in 2001 and 2009 respectively. He was awarded two gold medals and presidential award for securing first position in BSc engineering. He completed his PhD in Electronic Engineering from International Islamic University Pakistan, with six months research at the University of Colorado/Anschutz medical campus Denver USA under the HEC IRSIP program. He has more 8 years of industry experience and has attended more than 15 professional training in Pakistan, China, Singapore, USA and Malaysia. Currently, he is working as Assistant Professor at UniKL British Malaysian Institute Malaysia. He is the author of more than 25 journal publications. His main areas of research include Sparse Signal Processing, Compressed Sensing and biomedical Signal and Image Processing.

Dr. Fawad Zaman

Dr. FawadZaman was born in 1983 at Bannu KPK, Pakistan. He received his MS and Ph.D. in Electronic Engineering, 2009 and 2013, respectively, from International Islamic University Islamabad, Pakistan. He is currently working as an Assistant Professor, in Department of Electrical Engineering, COMSATS Institute of Information Technology, Attock, Pakistan. His research interest are parameter estimation, system identification, evolutionary computing, swarm intelligence and optimization methods.

Dr. Muhammad Asif Zahoor

Muhammad Asif Zahoor Raja is born in 1973 at Sadiqabad, Rawalpindi, Pakistan. He has done his M.Sc. Mathematics degree from Forman Christen College Lahore, Pakistan in 1996, M.Sc. Nuclear Engineering, from Quaid-e-Azam, University, Islamabad, Pakistan in 1999 and Ph.D. Electronic Engineering from International Islamic University, Islamabad, Pakistan in 2011. He is involved in research and development assignment of Engineering and Scientific Commission of Pakistan from 1999 to 2012. Presently, he is working as assistant professor in department of Electrical Engineering, COMSATS institute of information technology, Attock Campus, Attock, Pakistan. Dr. Raja has developed the Fractional least mean square algorithm and computational platform is formulated for the first time for solving fractional differential equation using artificial intelligence techniques during his Ph.D. studies. Dr. Raja has been author of more than 93 publications, out of which 84 are reputed journal publications. Dr. Raja acts as a resource person and gives invited talks on many workshops and conferences held at the national level. His areas of interest are solving linear and nonlinear differential equation of arbitrary order, active noise control system, fractional adaptive signal processing, nonlinear system identification, direction of arrival estimation and Bioinformatics problems.

Dr. Shahid Hussain Abbassi

Shahid Hussain Abbassi have completed his BE in Electrical Engineering from NED University of Engineering & Technology, Karachi in 1989. He did his MS in Software Engineering from NationalUniversity of Science & Technology, Rawalpindi in 2007. Now he has completed his PhD in ElectricalEngineering from Air University, Islamabad.in February, 2016 He has worked in Carrier TelephoneIndustries (Pvt.) Ltd. And Capital Development Authority, Islamabad. Now he is working as AssistantProfessor in Air University, Islamabad since 2007. His research interests include Computer NetworksEspecially Mobile Ad-hoc Networks, Vehicular Ad-hoc Networks and implementation of Cognitive Radios(CR) in Vehicular Ad-hoc Networks especially CR channels sensing and allocation.

Dr. Adnan Umar Khan

Dr. Adnan Umar Khan did his BS from Eastern Mediterranean University, Turkey in 1994, MS from University of Portsmouth, Portsmouth, UK in 1995 and his PhD from De Montfort University UK in 2012. His main areas of research are communication, and Power Electronic Systems. He served eight years in telecommunication industry and more than eight years in Academia. His major interests are development of power and fault tolerant systems. He is presently serving as an Assistant Professor with the Department of Electrical Engineering, International Islamic University, Islamabad.

Dr. Abdul Jalil

Dr. Abdul Jalil did his M.Sc. from Department of Electronics Quaid-i-Azam University (QAU), Islamabad, Pakistan in 1986, M.Phil. (Electronics) from Department of Electronics, QAU, Islamabad, Pakistan in 2000 and his PhD from Mohammad Ali Jinnah University (MAJU), Islamabad, Pakistan in 2006. His main areas of research are signal and image processing, computational mathematics, Pattern Recognition and Object Tracking. Dr. Shafqat Ullah Khan

Dr. Shafqat Ullah Khan did his M.Sc from Quaid-i-Azam University Islamabad, Pakistan in 2004, MS from Department of ElectronicEngineering, InternationalIslamic University Islamabad, Pakistan, in 2008 and his PhD from ISRA University Islamabad, in 2015. He has completed Post Doctorate at Faculty of Electrical Engineering, UniversitiTeknologi Malaysia in 2017. Dr. Atta-ur-Rahman

Dr. Atta-ur-Rahman has completed his BS degree in Computer Science from University of The Punjab, Lahore, Pakistan; MS degree in Electronic Engineering from International Islamic University, Islamabad, Pakistan and PhD degree in Electronic Engineering from ISRA University, Islamabad Campus, Pakistan in years 2004, 2008 and 2012, respectively. His research interest include Wireless/Digital Communication, Information and Coding Theory, Computational Intelligence, Hybrid Intelligent Systems and Text Mining. He has supervised more than 12 MS students so far and currently supervising 2 PhD students while one PhD student has finished his degree under his supervision. Dr. Atta is currently working at University of Dammam, Dammam, KSA as Associate Professor. Before that he was Associate Professor at BIIT (Pak) where he worked for almost 11 years.

Dr. Muhammad Amir did his BS and MS in Electrical Engineering from University of Engineering and Technology Peshawar and Taxila in 1997 and 2002 respectively. Dr. Abdul Basit

Dr. Abdul Basit received his B.S. degree in Electronic Engineering from Muhammad Ali Jinnah University, Islamabad in 2007 and M.S. degree in Electronic Engineering from International Islamic university, Islamabad (IIUI), Pakistan, in 2009. He did his PhD in Electronic Engineering in 2016 from IIUI, Pakistan. He has published more than 20 research papers. He is currently working as an Assistant Professor in Department of Electrical Engineering at IIUI, Pakistan. His main areas of research are Radar signal processing, cognitive radar, frequency diverse array radar (FDA) and a hybrid of cognitive radar with phased array and FDA radar.

Dr. Waseem Khan

Dr. Waseem Khan did his Bachelors from NED University of Engineering and Technology, Pakistan in 1999, MSc from University of Leicester in 2005 and his PhD from Air University in 2015. His main areas of research are communications, adaptive beam-forming and radar signal processing. He has served NESCOM for about ten years before joining academia in 2009. He is presently serving as a Professor with the Department of Electrical Engineering, Air University, Islamabad.

Dr. Suheel Abdullah Malik

Dr. Suheel Abdullah Malik did his BS from Bangalore University, Bangalore India, in 1997, MS from Department of EE, MAJU, Pakistan, in 2006 and his PhD from International Islamic University (IIU) Islamabad, Pakistan, in 2015. His main areas of research are Heuristic Computation Techniques, Computational Techniques for Nonlinear Problems, Control Systems. He has 18 years of teaching and research experience with more than twenty-five technical publications. Dr. Muhammad Adnan Aziz

Dr. Muhammad Adnan Aziz did his graduation from AIOU in 2003, MS from EE department Muhammad Ali Jinnah University Islamabad in 2008 and PhD in Electronic Engineering from Isra University, Islamabad in 2017. Main areas of his research are signal processing and optimization techniques. His PhD research work addressed the optimization of domestic power demand in smart grid scenario. He has a teaching experience of eight years and supervised 35 projects. He is currently working as an Assistant Professor in Department of Electronic Engineering Isra University Islamabad Campus.

Dr. Sajjad Ahmad Ghauri

Sajjad A. Ghauri received his B.Sc. and MS (Specialization in signal processing in communication) in 2007 & 2010 respectively. He completed his Ph.D. in Electronic Engineering from ISRA University,Pakistan in 2015. Currently he has been working as an Assistant Professor in International Islamic University since 2014, before joining IIU, he has been serving as an Assistant Professor in the Department of Electrical Engineering, NUML (Islamabad). He has been conducting research in signal processing, communication, heuristic techniques and neural network for past 10 years. Currently, he is working on modu- lation classification algorithms, smart grid based communication sys- tems and application of fractional algorithms in massive MIMO communication system. He has more than 45 publications in leading recognized international journals, international and local conference proceedings. He is a member of several journal and conference program committees.
